How to fix the Amazon Settlement Report Inaccuracies
We became aware of an issue in the Amazon settlement reports that had been generated between the 23rd - 28th October.
Amazon has now resolved the issue and we can now clarify the below points:
- Not all settlements generated between 23rd - 28th October were effected. If you had any settlements with an end date during this date range they may be effected.
- Amazon has now fixed the errors in the effected settlement reports and new versions are available to request in seller central.
You will only have been effected by this if you have settlements that have an end date of the 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th or the 28th October OR if you requested any older settlements during the period mentioned above.
If you do have settlements effected then the process for resolving this is that you go to seller central and locate the effected settlements for each marketplace, click request report on them and then 24-48 hours later the updated versions should be available in Link My Books.
Here are the exact steps:
Step 1 - Go to Amazon Seller Central, log in and navigate to:
Reports > Payments > All Statements
Step 2 - Locate the effected settlements and click on the "Request Report" button for each one.
The settlements that were effected should show the Request Report buttons as this is how Amazon set them so that the new corrected reports could be re-generated. If they do not show the request report button then they have not been effected.
Step 3 - Repeat for all of your other Amazon marketplaces where you have effected settlements.
We apologise that this process could not be more automated from our side.
Since this was an error from Amazon's side and the fact that Amazon do not allow us to request the reports on your behalf, this is as easy as we could make it.
One final note, if you have effected settlements that have already been sent to Xero then remember to void them in Xero before you send them over from Link My Books again, otherwise you will end up with duplicates. You will also need to manually refresh any settlements in Link My Books that have already been sent to Xero for the new data to show - do this 48 hours after you have requested the reports via Amazon.
